Just a quick thought this morning which was inspired by my religious faith and set me off thinking.
In the Drum Chatter thread we have been sharing some of the problems we have been having or our families have been having and we have been burning sausages to Offler and rattling kitchen drawers to Annoia…….. and for me in my own life I have been asking prayers from family, friends and above all Our Lady for a family situation.
Today things finally seemed to have settled down a bit for me, and I was expressing my thanks for all the positive thoughts and love that has poured out to me from across the globe thanks to my friends in the Drum. I also took a moment to thank those who have prayed for me.
It reminded me how we need to thank 3Himmies for being our team captain…….. the CDs who help with each of the challenges ……………. and Eyeamelise for thinking up Nerdwars, and giving so much of her time to organise and run it. I am sure they would be embarrassed and say that they don’t do it for thanks – but I want to record my thanks here !
Totally agree. Every time they ask for volunteers and I think I’m too busy I am reminded how much I appreciate those who DO give up their spare time (in NerdWars and in RL – although how I recently got suckered into becoming a Cubs leader still baffles me!). Particular thanks to 3himmies for all the work (and money!) she puts into our prizes). And thanks also to our teammates who make this game so fun. And of course, thanks to KOkoCat for writing our blog! And many more thoughts and best wishes to her for all the things that are going on (hope your son has found somewhere closer to live too!)
Oh, and how appropriate that it is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada! I love that there’s a weekend specifically made to remind us of all the good stuff in our lives. Just simply having enough to eat, shelter to live in and of course, enough yarn to knit or crochet! Thanks be to Annoia!
